I'm someone that likes to pride myself in being able to keep any secret that I am asked not to share..... However, when the big "secret" is about Glen and I, I can't contain myself! WE ARE HAVING A BABY!
For all that know me, you know that I have wanted a baby since I was a baby. I have always LOVED kids, and been called a baby hog my whole life. Words cannot truly express how grateful and privileged we feel. The word "exciting" comes no where close to describing our current emotion.
Glen and I found out we were pregnant in September and decided to fly down to Phoenix to tell my parents the news. We jumped on a plane and showed up at my parents front door with shirts saying "The Baker" on Glen's chest, and "The Oven" on my stomach. It was so fun to be able to see their reactions in person, it really was a priceless memory.
After we got back in town we headed down to Spanish Fork to tell the in laws. Our first stop was to Lindsey and Daron's house. Daron wasn't home, but by far, Lindsey had the best reaction. It took her a while to read our shirts, but when she finally did we both screamed and cried, and then screamed some more. After that, we met up with my in laws and went out to dinner. My mother in law Marla, caught on immediately. The moment we got into the restaurant she saw our shirts and was so excited for us.
So now that the secret is out......we are so excited to share the news. I have been one of those lucky ladies that is constantly remind that yes, I am pregnant. With every trip to the bathroom, trash can or bucket, I just try not to cry and remind myself, that this is what I have always wanted! Every time I call Glen crying and tell him how sick I am, and how many times I have barfed that day, he always reminds me how lucky we truly are, because some women would give up anything, and go through everything, just to be able to carry a baby for nine months.
And so it's true, no mater how much I am hating being sick, I am so grateful I get to be! May, you can't come soon enough!
*We went to the doctor on 9/29 and were able to see our then, little blueberry and see the heartbeat. Next Wednesday we get to go back and actually hear the heartbeat!

Paige I'm so happy for you, I am totally known as the baby hog amongst my family and can't wait until Brian and I are able to have kids.
I just wanted to comment on one thing, how you talked about how lucky you are to be pregnant. I just wanted to say thank you for writing that section. I found out last June that we are going to have to adopt or have a surrogate to have babies. Since i was able to talk, I talked about being a mommy and being pregnant and all that kind of stuff, so it was really hard to find that out. Now we are blessed to still be able to have kids in another way, but it's been hard to hear people seem ungrateful for being pregnant, because I would truly give anything to be in that position. It truly is a special gift and if you can have a baby you are one lucky girl!

Again, I am beyond excited for you. I think you were born to mother children! You are going to be fantastic. Maybe all the sickness means girl? Either way I'll pray it's a healthy growing baby!
Paige I could not be happier for you. If you follow the trend you will be all set to have a baby girl! Me, Lynlee and Lindsay are all having girls, maybe you will break the trend. I was deathly ill for 4 1/2 months so I feel your pain completely. However, you are nicer then I am, if my husband said that I might smack him because I had no perspective when I felt like dying. Don't worry though it will pass! can't wait to hear all the details!

I am so excited for you! What a great mom you will be! Don't worry, the horrible depressing barfing thing will pass. I think that is the very worst part of all. Soon you will be able to feel your baby moving around and all that amazing stuff! Enjoy the good stuff.

With everything that I had been going through that day when you told me I just lit up and could not stop smiling haha. I yelled too I had to tell everyone in Georgia Paige is finally prego and I am thrilled. :)

Oh Paige!!! That is so so exciting! You will make such a wonderful mommy! Your baby is so lucky to have room to grow and that tall body of yours haha my poor little one is so squooshed! I'm sorry you're so sick :( it really does get better the first little bit is the worst... Congrats girlie that is such wonderful news!

wa-hooooooooo! I am soooo happy for you! and can I just say from one sick prego(or previously prego) lady to another, please get some Zofran. Call your doctor now!!! and if you already have it, then that is as good as it gets. My only advice is to sleep as much of the misery away as you can. I preferred being awake from the hours of 10am to 8pm! Ill call you soon!!!
Congrats you two! That is so wonderful! We are so excited for you! I totally understand the sickness. This pregnancy has been the worst for me, but being sick is a good sign. Hang in there. It's all worth it! I love the idea with the shirts. So cute! We'll have to get together sometime.

CONGRATULATIONS Paige (and Glen :) !!! I pray your sickness only lasts the first trimester. Because the second is usually the most AMAZING time!!! Did your mom get over sickness after the first trimester? It's the pits...so sorry! And I can't believe it! (May is a good month :) that's mine and Afton's)

Paige! Seriously, if anyone should have a baby its YOU! :o) I'm so so so happy for you both. I can't wait to read about your adventures! You have to post about your pregnancy, too. :o)Luckily, you go through amnesia once you hold them in your arms for the first time, so all the discomforts and pain and everything will be temporary! :o) You guys will have so much fun. Paige I am SO SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! You will be the BEST mommy and will love motherhood so much! You really have a love coming to you that you never ever thought you could feel, it is totally surreal. The second trimester is the best! Hang in there! You'll start feeling little kicks and nudges and the sickness will chill out and you will love being pregnant (I hope it goes that way for you!!) Pregnancy definitely has a lot of sacrifice involved as well as being a mommy but that's why you love that little baby so stinking much. Because you invest so much of yourself into it. It's amazing.
