Choices.....

This year for Christmas Santa Cunningham gave me a stroller! I could not have been more excited! It is one less thing that I have to talk Glen into forking money over for. Needless to say, I was and am ecstatic! Thank you Santa! Every time I go and look at strollers I find a new one that I like... and so now I am asking for some opinions. Have any of you used one of these strollers or know someone that has? I wish stores would let you take them on a "test drive" for a week once you have the baby and then let you decide which one you want to purchase. Since this is not the case, does anyone have some extra insight on the following:
The Uppababy
The Bugaboo
The Bob

so exciting paige!

i got the bugaboo bee (it doesn't have the bassinet) and i love it. it is super lightweight and i could put the carseat on when he was a teeny baby, now he sits in the sit. it steers like a dream (which is not the case with other strollers, because i've pushed friends and it is crazy how hard some strollers are to steer).

you should talk to kelly because she got the uppa and then traded it for a bugaboo. i went out for a walk with her once with it and it just felt way too big. like gigantic. i've heard the bob is hard to steer and can be bulky too.

overall kelly and i agree that bugaboo just makes really good strollers, which is probably why pretty much everyone seems to get them these days it seems.

just my two cents. :)

I have the bugaboo frog with the Bassinet and then you change it to the seat later when the baby is older. I obviously have not used it with a baby yet but so far I really like it. However, I know Lynlee got the BOB and I sometimes wish I would of so I could use it as a jogger when it warms up!

OOHH... I'm curious to see what everyone says. I've been looking at the Uppababy and buggaboo strollers too. It's hard to decide and I totally agree with you.... I wish we could test drive these strollers!!!

all of those have good reviews, i think with stroller a lot of times it comes down to what you like the lok of....i just got a double (what has my life come to!!! :) ) and i couldn't decide either. i ended up getting the one with the most storage underneath and cup holders stuff like that. good luck!

Great Christmas gift!! Like Brooke said, I had the uppa baby, it looks great on paper, but in person, it was just a little too much stroller for me, and our tiny girl. It felt big and bulky just maneuvering out of the house, I can't imagine pushing it into a crowded restaurant or store.

I sold the uppa baby on craigslist and got the bugaboo instead, and I LOVE it, it is perfect for us, we just traveled to Utah with it and it worked great.

The bassinet comes in handy for when your baby is little, just put a pillowcase over the mattress and push it into your bedroom, then you don't need to have a separate bassinet for the short weeks they sleep in your bedroom (tessa only lasted 1 week before she moved onto her actual crib).

All of that said...my best advice would be to wait until 2-3 weeks before your due date to buy it...I know it is probably one of the most exciting baby purchases, and I certainly didn't wait. But if you do wait, you can try it with your actual baby, and actual carseat, and you will still be able to return it! Once I had Tessa in the uppa baby, I just knew it was wrong for her.

i first got the bugaboo frog when we had lucy and maybe i'm crazy but i really didn't like it that much. yes it pushes great and the bassinet is nice to have when your baby is little (i really only used it a few times though), i didn't like how to fold it up you have to take the seat off and have 2 big pieces. pain in the butt, especially when traveling! i ended up selling it on ksl after like a month...but it seems like some of your friends have it now and like it so maybe you will :) i would choose the BOB if i were you though! also maclarens are great to have as a light umbrella stroller. i switched my stroller for one and LOVE it!!

Love all the advice and tips! Thank you, Thank you! My only concern about the bugaboo is that there is no ability to add a second seat for another child... so what do you do when baby number two comes? Will you just have to buy another stroller?

And which one is better, the frog, bee, or cameleon? I love the bassinet but I know we will never use it since we already have a bassinet for the first little bit.

But Kelly I am going to listen to your advice and wait to buy the stroller!

I have heard that the BOB is AMAZING!! That's probably what I'm going to get. I have seen it in action. You can fold it up using one hand!! Fascinating, but what do I know.

Paige! I use to babysit for a kid who had the uppababy and i HATED it. It felt so unsafe and was did not roll well when we would go for walks and to the park. Just my thought...

Hey pretty mama! I loved seeing you last night so much! I need to see more of you. I have no advice on these strollers (sorry) but we are in the market for a double so I'm happy to hear reviews on these brands! I agree with Stacy, storage space underneath will matter a lot. Yay I love buying for a new baby! So excited for you!!

I got the bumbleride and LOVE it! I got the bassinet (which we're still using and Gracie is 4 months) then I thing you put on instead of the bassinet for when they're sitting up and then I got the toddler seat hook on, so it becomes a double stroller when I need it. I looked at A TON of strollers and fell in love with mine...it's big, but SO worth it!

All I can say is cup holders, and storage! and I don't know if these do this but make sure that if you have to take him out of the car seat to move to the stroller, then that is no bueno! It is so convenient to have a car seat that clicks to the stroller. I am now looking for a running stroller and the BOB seems to do it all, where mine doesn't. So that is something to think about for down the road.

I haven't but I usually go to Amazon.com to read the reviews on things I am considering to buy. Just an idea for you.

The first one is so cute. Not that I know anything about babies, but I like it! How fun!
