Preparing for Preston!

Since moving down to Phoenix, a lot of things have been going on! First and foremost, we have been preparing for baby. I waited last minute to make all my decisions on a carseat, stroller, crib, bedding, nursery colors, etc. etc, but I am happy to announce that the decisions are made!

The only major decision that is yet to be decided is where to buy a HOME, and which HOME to buy..... both pretty large decisions. We have been doing a lot of house hunting, but we are in no hurry to buy. For now we are just happily saving money and living with my parents. We hope to find a house shortly after the baby arrives.

In all my free time I have been trying to work on my domestic side....

My mom made this blanket with the adorable soft minky material. I love the colors and the trim around the edges!

This is blanket number two in the making.... It's the same soft minky material as the other blanket.

These are some burp cloths that we made.... So cute and easy to do! I bought a pack of three designer burp cloths at a boutique store for 35 bucks.... I will never do that again now that I know I can make my own and pick out my own cute material.

More burp cloths, but these are made with the minky material.

And last but not least, the baby nursery and bedding.... Since I don't have a house to set Preston's nursery up in yet, here is a glimpse of the colors and fabrics I am using. I searched for months to find the perfect bedding and never found it, I wanted something fun and different. I finally decided to find someone that could make the bedding for me. So then I was on the hunt for the perfect fabric and I came across the designer Michael Miller, I love all of his prints! I am so excited to see how the bedding turns out, it should be done in the next few weeks!

And just to give you an idea, that green square in the middle is the color of his crib! I'm in love and can't wait until everything is all finished and set up.

I love the fun stuff you are making. I'm kicking myself for not bringing my sewing machine out to North Carolina with me. I'm having my mother in law make my baby bedding. (She is amazing!) I agree that it's hard to find something you really like. I'm excited for your little guy to get here! Not too long!

Um I am obsessed with those blankies your mom made! So so cute! And you can never have enough, trust me. Also, your nursery fabric ad colors are impecable!! SO darling!! And so exciting, you are so so close. You will be holding him before you know it. I'm so excited for you to feel that love, it will blow your mind.

In the last week since not being preggy I have stuffed my face with everything in sight. It feels so good to have your stomach space back again. So have lots of good eats around you! And nursing gets easier, give yourself a solid two weeks for it to stop hurting so much. I love you Paige!! Yay yay for babies I'm so excited to see little Preston!
