When I was around 6 years old, I met Maddie..... a cute girl with brown hair that just moved to Phoenix from Utah. Sallee (maddie's mom) and my mom, grew up in Bountiful Utah together from the time they were in elementary school. So of course when my mom found out Sallee moved just five minutes away from my house, maddie and I became instant friends. From elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and adult life, we have always had a one of a kind friendship. I love maddie like a sister and would do anything for her, and she would do the same for me.
Last Saturday Maddie married the love of her life and best friend Lindsay. This was one of those marriages that I feel like I was anticipating forever, and when the day finally came I couldn't have been more ecstatic. There is something so special about being able to watch your friend make sacred covenants. I am so happy for the two of them and can't wait to see what the future holds. Hopefully lots of babies and friends for Preston and Porter.
The wedding festivities started off with a little bachelorette party.
Saturday morning came and i headed over to the Nielsen house to watch mad get her hair done, and to be the one to do her makeup for the big day.
All ready and on her way to the Temple to be sealed to her man for time and all eternity!
The new Mr and Mrs Leavitt!
The Nielsen/Winn side
Maddie was absolutely stunning, and not just because the dress, hair, and makeup were perfect, but because she was the happiest she has ever been. She was radiating. She is gorgeous inside and out, and her day couldn't have been more perfect!!
reception pictures to come.....
