Dear Zpack, Tessalon Perles, Sudafed, and Afrin (for me), and Omnicef, Tylenol, Vicks Vapor, Humidifier, and Motrin (for Preston), please start working your wonders. I'm ready for a miracle of instant good health and no more sickies.... for me or the kiddo.

Having a sick baby is the saddest, most miserable thing ever. I feel like we have been sick the entire month of February and it has only gotten worse instead of better. While on a trip to the Mexico house this past weekend, Preston was up for two nights straight being rocked in the arms of his grandma and grandpa so he could sleep on their chest and still breath, all while I was up coughing so much I thought I was going to go into labor and lose a lung, but instead just lost my dinner. The trip was still amazing, but the nights and sickness were miserable. 

Yesterday Preston went to the doctor to find he has another ear infection, and cold, all while his two top teeth are coming in (the left side already broke through). This has been the sickest this child has ever been. Not sure why this ear infection has been so much worse, but the congestion and inability to breath is so sad. 

Today I went to the doctor for myself for the first time in probably 12 or more years. Aside from OB apts, I never go to the doctor. I've never even had a family physician. I grew up in a home that never went to the doctor, in fact i had to beg my mom to take me when i was in the 6th grade and new my arm was broken.

I have no problem calling the doctor and taking Preston in. However, I never feel the need to call the doctor for myself. I just assume things will take their course and be done. BUT, after three weeks of a yucky cough, and then a few days of fever, chills, and non stop yellow mucus crap coming up from my lungs, Glen made me an appointment and forced me to go.  


Here is to hoping it was worthwhile and that all the medicine works wonders!
