You made me lose faith in you the moment you told me I couldn't see my husband in the post op room after his three hour surgery. When you tried to tell me he was just sleeping and it wouldn't make a difference if I saw him or not, I knew we were going to have a problem. Even though you made lots of sly comments and tried to get me to leave his side, I want you to know, i don't tolerate that. Saying things like, "he's going to look the same in a couple of hours" only made me stay by his side longer. You chose the wrong person to harass and have problems with.
When blood is dripping all over my husbands pillow and you push me away when I tell you the drain in his neck has come lose, you really set me off. Next time look at me when I am talking to you, and look at the problem I am speaking of before shrugging it off and telling me its fine. It didn't take me years of med school to realize the blood was dripping on his pillow down his neck, and not in the drain. When a doctor calls me and tells me my husband is out of surgery and I can sit with him until he get admitted to his room, I plan on doing just that.
I thought you were just being mean to me because I'm young and you figured you could get away with it, but then I overheard you speaking to your other patients. Now I've realized you are having a bad day, maybe week or year. Nonetheless, you get paid to be kind and take care of people. Please do your job better next time and I wont have to get the head nurse. The only thing the nurse Faith, should have faith in, is losing her job security if she doesn't make some changes.
On to happier things, we have a new nurse, Dawn. I already love her and think she is great. When Glen asked if he could get something for his dry throat, she literally ran and got him some ice chips. What a saintly woman.
And earlier this morning, we had Margo. She's a grandma. Kind, sweet, and just happened to be lds.
Thanks Dawn and Margo, lets hope our nurses tonight and tomorrow will be every bit as great.

What the what!?! What was surgery for? Poor Glen. Best wishes to a fast recovery. Nurses can be true angels, but when you have a bad one, you can't help but take it personally!
Poor Glen...Here's to a fast recovery!
So sad... Scary. That nurse sounds like a pain in the ASS! Hope he feels better quick!
what an awesome scar--- he needs to make up a great story to tell the boys... like an alien tried to invade his brain and they cut it out....
let me know if there is anything I can help you with!!
What?? Was this a planned thing? Yikes! Hoping for a good, safe, blood-less recovery. So sorry...
oh dear! Nurse Faith sounds like Nurse Wendy. "YOU DIDN'T TAKE A BIRTHING CLASS?! HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO KNOW HOW TO HAVE THIS BABY?!!" umm I watch a lot of TLC's "baby story. "TV?! DID YOU LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A CAR WHILE WATCHING TV?!" umm. no. but I don't see how that's related at all to my situation... Then when I told her I didn't feel good she responded "no one feels good in active labor" she took me seriously when I barfed all over the floor though! hehe
I hope your hubbie heals up quickly!!
