so many things to be happy about...

1. Today is my mama's birthday. I love, love, love my mom. We call her Sheniquia, Shen, Shell, mom, mother, grandma, grannie (her favorite hahha), and many other names. But she is best known, as mom, and not just mom, but MY MOM. My mom is one of those people that everyone loves, no seriously i don't know anyone that doesn't love her.... like who wouldn't want to be her?! She is the best. She is hilarious, strong willed, opinionated, smart, gospel centered, tough love, full of advice, and simply amazing. She is woman. She is one of those women that people look at and think, "gosh i wish i were more like shelley." And it's true, i wish the same thing, everyone needs a little shelley in them and in their life. Lucky me, I share some of the same DNA so I'm hoping some of her traits do rub off on me. I love you mom, thanks for being the best mom and grandma this world has to offer.

2. Last night I was reminded of how amazing my husband is. Its actually like a daily occurrence when I or someone (my mom, dad, sibling) makes mention of something he's done, and last night was no exception. My husband is a get it done-er. He sees a need and does what needs to be done. He is the best handy/fix it man. He does everything from baking a cake, changing poopy diapers, doing laundry, fixing my shower water pressure, doing dishes, fixing the garage door opener setting on my car, to much much more. I honestly don't know what my husband can't do, he does it all. He is amazing. I am so lucky to have him, he makes me want to be better.

3. Yesterday at church I was exhausted. I didn't sleep well the night before and had been up since 6 am with Preston. We had 11 o'clock church and my sweet baby missed his morning nap and had no intention of taking his afternoon nap in my arms at church. Luckily my friend, and person I look up to Lindsey, saved the day. As if she is not a mother of 5 and exhausted herself she took Preston during third hour. She had treats and toys galore. Her bag was better then Mary Poppins. She too is a doer, and a get it done- er. She is ones of those people that you just can't help but wonder how she does it all. She is amazing. It's as if she has ten hands, always. She makes the absolute best homemade lasagna, angel food cake, and salad with big pieces of yellow and red peppers. (I still dream of that meal she brought me after I came home from the hospital with Preston.)

4. I met two people at a baby shower on Saturday that follow my blog. I felt totally cool for all of three seconds. Hi Kelly and Britney!

5. Today I was going through my friends blog and read that one of them went and visited a widow with her husband and brought this lady a "shine" necklace that she made, and the other decided to have a random photo shoot of a cute baby to surprise the parents. How nice and sweet it that?! I love my friends, they are all such amazing people and make me want to do more acts of service.

6. Today my sister sent me this article. I thought it was totally interesting, and you might too. Even though I am mormon, and i do blog, my cupcakes and crafts never turn out that good!

7. I am starting to come to terms with the fact that i am pregnant and going to have two kids this summer. I am also starting to come to terms with the fact that i will most likely be having another boy, even though i really, really want a girl. Anyone have some cute boy names that could help get me excited?
