the highs, the lows, the way things go...

HIGHS:

• Recovery and nursing has been the easiest thing (especially compared to Preston's delivery)
• Having an infant in the home is the best thing ever
• Newborn babies have the best smell
• On some nights Porter will sleep 5 hour stretches
• I love seeing Porter in some of my favorite outfits I put Preston in (totally helps me (and grandma) justify how much money I spend on clothes)
• There is nothing better then being able to snuggle and cuddle a little person I helped bring into this world
• Having Rowland and Amanda come to town. Such a fun weekend! 

lows:

• Remodeling our house 
• Missing the arrival and meeting of my niece and nephew until Porter is old enough to fly (hopefully we will see them in september!)
• On the nights Porter doesn't sleep 5 hour stretches, he is usually only sleeping 2! (boo)
• When Porter does sleep his 5 hour stretch, I wake up in a milk bath (TMI?)
• Preston getting into his grandma's pills and eating x amount of baby aspirin and fish oil, climbing and falling off everything, bloody nose twice, cracked head, bloody mouth, and the latest incident tonight... getting stung by three +bees. On his hand, arm, and face... they were all over him! 

The way things go:

• Some days I get a nap, some days I don't
• Sometimes I don't shower until 2 in the afternoon, sometimes i don't shower at all
• Some day I will be skinny, but that some day is no day soon enough (sorry jen, i will be the chubby nursing bridesmaid)

Life is great. My babies are great. I'm feeling great.

Can't wait to get our house finished and move in next month!
